Ron Bower's Around the World Speed Record is featured in the one-hour episode GLOBETROTTERS - Taking Flight, Around the World - shown frequently on DISCOVERY's LEARNING and WINGS CHANNELS - While globetrotters like Wiley Post conquered the world at a time when aviation was still in its youth, helicopter pilots had to wait for technology to catch up. Not until the 1980's and 1990's did helicopter pilots accomplish the feats of globetrotting.
